Pretoria\u2011Tuine to School of Specialisation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JANUARY 1963<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The first 252 learners were enrolled and were spread across Standards 6 to 8 (Afrikaans- and English-speaking). The Department wisely decided to appoint an experienced Senior Teacher in each technical division and for each school subject. These men joined the school in the first half of January 1963. The buildings were not yet completed and would only be finished in 1964. Because everyone was unfamiliar with one another, it was in those early days difficult to distinguish between teachers and construction workers. The first Principal was Mr. A.M. van Zyl.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1966<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A total of 387 students participated in the Cadet programmed, under the supervision of 12 staff members. The Cadets were deployed at several high-profile events, where they consistently performed with distinction and received commendable praise on each occasion..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1970<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. B.B.J. Coetzee become the first Deputy Principal of H.T.S. Pretoria-Tuine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1972<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School fund per year is R3,00 \/ per student and can be paid of in installments. More than two kids in the school you pay R2,00 per kid with a maximum of R4,00. School start at 07:40 and come out at 14:10 in the afternoons.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1976<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cIn 1976 an amount of R505 000 was approved for the construction of the new wing; R4 000 was approved for the purchase of 600 hall chairs and the building of the gymnasium. A fair raised an amount of R9 735.
